Guiding Balance Throughout Your Painting

Below is the course for your Guiding Balance Throughout Your Painting workshop. It has four sections, each from one of the workshop’s four lessons. In addition to a short quiz, there are six steps for you to complete. Please follow the sequence of steps as they appear, and everything should proceed smoothly. You will receive a Certificate of Achievement when you complete all the exercises.

Please avoid skimming over the instructions. Each Step contains a lot of information and something for you to do.

Be sure to click Mark Complete each time you finish a step/prompt. This is necessary for the progress bar to advance and for you to receive your certificate once you’ve completed all the work.

For your exercises, you will need your painting gear and a painting surface appropriate to your medium.

Your painting surface should be no larger than 12” x 16”. Otherwise, there will be too much space to manage to keep your attention on working on the lesson’s concept. Beyond this, use the paints and brushes you are most comfortable working with. Dianne does not intend to change your choice to hers, but to focus on learning one of the best ways to apply the course’s concept.

Oil and acrylic painters, because this is an exercise, no stretched canvas, please!
