Mastering Effective Brushwork

Here is where your Mastering Effective Brushwork course begins. It has four sections, each from one of the four lessons. Within these, there are six steps for you to complete. Follow the sequence as the steps appear, and everything should go well.

This is where the real fun begins. Let’s get to work!

You will need your painting gear and a painting surface appropriate to your medium for your homework.

Your painting surface should be no larger than 12” x 16”. Otherwise, there will be too much space to manage to keep your attention on working on the lesson’s concept. Beyond this, use the paints and brushes you are most comfortable working with. Dianne intends not to change your choice to hers but to focus on learning one of the best ways to use your attention to master effective brushwork.

Oil and acrylic painters, because this is an exercise, no stretched canvas, please!
